Hello from Ontario

Hey guys. New to the site. Just picked up a 2007 LS with 268,000KM.
It needs a steering rack so I did a google search and wound up here. Hope to find some info and maybe contribute where I can.

Cheers

my mechanic can`t do the rack till next week. I`ll get pics up then. Yes it`s a lot of km but for 900 bucks I had to lol. It`s just more of a commuter. Not sure on the timing chain. Got it from my buddy who it was given to as a form of owed money. I wrecked my 2003 Neon...I know, I know...lol so this should be an upgrade.

Welcome, I was just in Acton looking at a couple houses for sale.
The hhr shares a lot of parts with the cobalt, not sure on the steering rack specifically, but you might look into it if you are looking for parts they are more common.

to be sure that the rack is the issue , maybe the intermediate shaft is sticking and cause of the problem another member just had this issue, and my HHR had the issue just last July, it wasn't the steering rack, just a heads up.
