Hello out there HHR people
I am a new owner of a 2011, HHR LT Flex. I got the car in October when my 1986 Subaru had issues that I could not afford. It was cheaper for me to get a car financed then it would have been to repair the Subaru. I was in the market for a conversation van, as I am a VAN man. I toured the country for a few years playing music and always had a van. Prob was that, in Utah, where I am currently stuck, (for lack of a better word) these folks are not into vans, just C&W music, and pick me up trucks. I needed some form of transportation as I work out of my vehicle. At the dealer, there were several HHRs, so I test drove one. I always thought, beside the Nissan Murano, the HHR was the most original design, of course, until I found it was just a remake of the 1949 Suburban.
But I really like the car, it is original, in this modern age where all the cars pretty much look the same, and it fits right in with the work I do. The more I look at it, the more I like it, and I believe now that it is right up there in the number three slot of my all-time favorite vehicles. The first, the Studebaker Avanti, way ahead of its' time, the Chevy Corvair, Spyder, and not the High Height Roof.
I wanted something different, and I am pleased to say that I got it. I just hope it serves me well.
So, hello all and it is good to be with folks that like originality in a vehicle!
