Talking Hey Everyone! New to the party!!!

Hey guys and gals,

My names Marcel and I just recently traded in my 06 Saturn Ion Redline to get a beautiful 09 HHR SS!

Loving every moment. Bought it from a Chrysler dealer so they did not know what they had 😝 Ended up paying close to $11k /w 48k miles
Came with comp package installed. (brembo/lsd) boy was I happy 😁
Also did some research and sure enough found out it came with the gm turbo stage 1 😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁

Big zzp enthusiast!
So the future will hold a high flow turbo back exhaust, Cai , and a tune.

One beginner question? I like the stock ride quality, but I want to firm it up a bit and maybe a smidgen lower. What is the best way to go?

If you haven't already joined I suggest looking up ecotec nation on Facebook! Many meets and friendly faces.

Welcome to the site.

CAI. GM already put a pretty darn good stock CAI on the SS. My inlet temps stay pretty darn close to the outside temps. Within a few degrees. Go messing with the intake system and you may throw some CEL's. A few people here have had that happen with something as simple as throwing in a K&N filter in the stock box.

Firming it up and lowering it a little. There's a lot of different options and choices there. The stock SS struts and shocks are pretty firm. A set of springs is the way to go. I'm setting on Pedders. 1.5" lower all around but they are softer than the stock SS springs. Probably not what you're looking for.
Try our Search box above and you can look through a lot of threads about aftermarket springs.

If your SS doesn't have a rear sway bar, Get One. Best bang for your buck as far as an aftermarket handling improvement.

Thanks for the quick response!

I actually like the look of the stock Airbox. I will look into the springs atm no need to change FE5s! Definitely will look for rear stabilizer bar. Is the zzp one any good?
