Congrats on the purchase. The problems you mentioned are dead on. I purchased mine back in july with 92k and it also had the same problem. Changed the sway bar insulators. Which right now can only be purchased at the dealer and it fixed the knock. I also went ahead and put on a pair of moog sway bar links. I also had the same issues with the turn signal in my hhr and my wifes cobalt. The turn signal switch it the culprit. Very easy to fix. 3 bolts underneath the steering column cover pull out the switch and put in the new. I paid 30 with my GM discount. No idea how much you will pay but it cant be much more then that.

Ive been to haldimand a couple times lured by low prices, but it seems most of their cars are high mileage. Make sure you get those issues taken care of. The noisy front end could be the swaybar endlinks or bushings. Possibly the control arm bushings, but thats not as common. And this is one case where brand name parts such as Moog may be better than the gm parts, if you have the choice.
