Smile Howdy. :D

Hello, I've just joined as my father is purchasing a HHR Super Sport, Automatic with the GM "Turbo Upgrade."

I have been reading, I made it through the "turbo upgrade" thread (all 61 pages ) and the Maintenance issue stickies.

I'm the one reading as my father doesn't do computers.

I'm in Alaska, but he's retired and going to use the car as a winter driver in the warmer states.

He's an old racer hence the SS instead of an LT (62 and 69 Corvettes, an old Volvo 544, Front dive VW Rabbits, Legends cars and recently a salt flat racer we have campaigned).

So I'm researching what all should be done (TTR solid upper mount?) and what might benefit (drive it first, but possible rear sway bar, maybe a cat back ?? ).

Please feel free to suggest vehicle upgrades that would improve handling and performance without destroying ride quality or range.

I'll continue reading.

Welcome to the site.

My opinion: A rear swaybar should be the 1st mod on an SS.

Thank you all for the warm welcome. :)

Apparently his chariot needs new shoes (fronts R bald, go figure ).

Started a thread asking about them.
