Howdy from Northern California!
Howdy everyone!
My wife and I have recently become the proud owners of a 2011 Chevy HHR LT with 38,000 miles on it.
Back in 2010 my wife and I rented a Chevy HHR and wound up putting about 2,000 miles on it by driving it out to Las Vegas, driving around in Vegas for a week, and then driving back (My family lives in Vegas). I have always wanted one of these, their just so different from everything else on the road, I love the styling, and after 2k miles in the seat in one I had fallen in love...
We were perfectly happy with our 2002 Hyundai Santa Fe with 235,000 miles on it... that was until I was over at a friends house and it puked up every last bit of coolant it contained. After an estimate of $1,000+ for repairs the wife and I decided it was time for something new. After searching far and wide and test driving new, used, and various sizes, shapes, etc... We finally found "Stormy" our Chevy HHR, it was the one with lowest miles that we could find, and was everything that we wanted.
The car was never detailed a the lot so it is covered in swirls from where the previous owner showed their admiration of automatic car washes. I have a mobile detailing business that I do on the weekends, I'm looking forward to documenting the process on restoring the paint and getting all of the defects removed!
This will be primarily my wife's car, and my daily ride is a 2008 Kawasaki Ninja.
Glad to be here, looking forward to the doing a few little things to make the HHR ours :)
God Bless,
-John
