Husband of a HHR Owner here new to this site!

Hi Guys and Gals. I joined this site maybe 2 nights ago in hopes of gaining some helpful insight on fixing my Wife's 2007 HHR Lt with a 2.4 engine. And since that time I have been browsing thru post after post and I am very thankful for all the info I have gathered. All the vehicles I have ever owned I have always had a Chiltons or haynes manual to guide me in my self repairs. That is until My soon to be Wife and her HHR. LOL! Now I cant seem to find a Chiltons or Haynes for that matter for this vehicle, so here I am. I am currently working on changing out a worn hub, warped rotors, worn brakes, bad tie rod ends on the steering gear, sway bar end links and to top it all off in a thorough examination yesterday(crow bar in hand) I now have to replace a lower rear control arm bushing. So I am looking for torque specs and maybe a guide on how I can get the bushings pressed in and out of that control arm. Got some torque specs but yet to have found torque specs for the lower ball joint to steering knuckle, and the lower control arm bolts to the chassis torque specs. Any input would be much obliged and in the mean time I will keep looking and reading!

I have seen on other threads that there is a web site for manuals.

If you prefer the old paper versions to to http://www.helminc.com and just enter your information.

This is what I found - kind of expensive:
2006 GM Transmission Unit Repair Manual
Price: $50.00 In Stock (English, Paper, GMPT06TURM)

2008 Chevrolet HHR (ASUV Platform) Service Manual Set
Price: $200.00 In Stock (English, Paper, GMT08A)

2007 Chevrolet HHR Service Manual Set
Price: $135.00 In Stock (English, Paper, GMT07A)

2009 Chevrolet HHR (ASUV Platform) Service Manual Set
Price: $200.00 In Stock (English, Paper, GMT09A)

2011 Chevrolet HHR Service Manual Set
Price: $200.00 In Stock (English, Paper, GMT11A)

2006 Chevrolet HHR (A-Platform) Service Manual Set
Price: $135.00 In Stock (English, Paper, GMT06A)

2010 Chevy HHR Service Manual Set
Price: $200.00 In Stock (English, Paper, GMT10A)

But if you prefer the more modern DVD version - I would suggest looking on e-bay.
I have found them for around $10 plus shipping.
Also found some paper versions.

Good luck

to the forum Kevin!

Sorry to say there are no manuals for the HHR either from Haynes or Chilton, the reason they give is "not enough sales volume", so 589,000 vehicles aren't enough for them to bother with.

As Tigger stated, try Helm or e-bay.
