I'm new here!
Not sure even how to get started, but will give this a shot. Bought our 2006 HHR LT brand new 9/29/2005 in Omaha, NE. Been basically family/wife's car ever since (we are empty nesters.) (I have been through several others as work transportation.) The only real repair it has ever required is a pair of camshaft sensors. Normal maintenance, a brake job, couple sets of tires, wipers, etc, and that is it. Probably the most trouble free car we have ever owned. I realize not everyone has had that experience.
Now, however, at about 112K miles, the leaks start. Water leaking into the passenger side floor. First, near the kick panel. The forum taught me about the cowl seal, which I successfully reattached. There is still a spot that appears (when it rains, driving through puddles) near the middle of the passenger side floor. I have checked underneath looking for some type of plug that could be deteriorating, but have not seen anything. Thinking I may need to pull off the kick panel, and see if I can find anything there, or under the carpet. Any thoughts or directions appreciated. Planning on keeping this thing a LONG time.

Welcome to the forum. Glad to see you have been enjoying the car as an original owner. Ours is the same vintage.
Re water leak - give that butyl patch repair a double check, as doing a repair to it, without replacing it, often does not work that well. You can give the SEARCH tool at the top of the page a try looking for water leaks.
If you have a sun roof, use that in the search as well, as a few owners have had problems with the sunroof drain backing up.
Hope that helps. :)
