Let me introduce myself
Hi Everyone,
Whopper from the forums found my page on Facebook https://www.facebook.com/HHRV8streetrod/ and invited me to join this forum. I am the owner of the mystery V8 HHR. Let me tell you a little bit about the car as it was told to me. The HHR started its life as a rental in 2006. With 10,000 miles on it, at the end of 2006 the modifications began. I cannot take credit for any of the amazing fab work. That was all done by the former Chrome Depot Texas. Although it is a Panel now, it was originally a 4 door. The previous owner told me it was completed before Chevy ever released the Panel. The paint is custom. The wheels are custom from Billet Specialties. It has a Heidts Superide suspension in the front (Mustang 2). It has leaf springs in the rear. It has a complete drive train package in it from Jon Barrett. The engine is a 350 CI known as a 420 Cruzer. The transmission is a built 700R4 coupled to a 10 bolt with a 3.73 Eaton Posi. The previous owner got the car about 75% done. He closed his shop and retired about 5 years ago and it had been sitting in storage since. I purchased it and completed it and really enjoy driving it. If you have any questions, please feel free to ask. Thanks again to Whopper and Craig with the V8 Kia for turning me on to this site. I'm new to this whole forum thing so if I did anything wrong, I apologize.

Welcome
Welcome fellow HHR V8 owner. Craig Gibson told me about our car last week and I posted it here. I'm really glad to have you as a forum member. Make sure you post a bunch of photos of your car. Everyone here lover the concept of rwd V8 HHR Panels.
Again, welcome!

Welcome to the site! I love your handle. I think if Chevy had made the hhr V8 and rwd they'd still be making them. Someone asked me today if my wife's SS was just badges(they'd never heard of the SS HHR). He then asked if it was a V8..my response. It doesn't need the v8 when your 121cu puts out 400hp!
-not a dig at all. A V8 hhr is on my fab bucket list. But there's a few in front of that.
