New 2011 HHR owner from the Twin Cities

Just bought a 2011 HHR (base model I think, it has the 2.2) with 20,800 miles for $12,700 (including the trade-in and $500 cash). Dealership actually gave me a good trade in on my '99 Taurus, which was a good car but was getting tired. Plus with the $4.19 a gallon garbage now I hope to get better mileage. And the dealership I was at has a lifetime powertrain warranty after the factory warranty is up (hope I'll never have to use that).

Not a fancy ride, as being an old fart at 43 my go fast days are over. Lots of great info here on this forum as I'm a DIY'er. Really digging the new ride- quiet on the highway and feels pretty nimble. Now I just need to get a few farkles for it- OEM splash guards on order and I need to look into stone chip prevention for the front end.

Cheers!

EDIT: forgot the photo

Thanks for the warm welcomes! Looks like the norm may be $4.29 now. Just may try the E85 (since it says Flex Fuel) at the @2.95 a gallon locally.

You're getting pounded on gas prices Tom, here in DC it's averaging $3.47 a gallon, and back where I have my home in NC its averaging $3.32 a gallon.

At the prices you're paying, the E-85 "corn squeezin's" would look mighty tempting.

LOOKS GREAT Tom, the more you drive it the more you will like it. I too have a 2011 and consider myself lucky to have bought the last year of a great car.
