+ New guy here - 2011 HHR 1LT
Hi all...
New to the forum and to the world of the HHR. Just purchased a victory red 2011 HHR 1LT from Carmax here in Connecticut. Had just under 10k miles and was a former rental / fleet car. Beautiful car...have had it about 3 days now...have only drive about 60 miles. My last car was a 2006 PT Cruiser that we bought almost new and sold it with 74,500 miles on it.
I believe my HHR has about all of the options that a fleet car could have as a 1LT in the 2011 model year... Leather Seats, Heated Seats, Sunroof, Steering Wheel controls for audio, On-Star, XM-Sirius, Racing Stripe....(or what I call a racing stripe!) ... a very cool "HHR LT" written in script on the side of the car......
What I apparently DON'T have is automatic start (I checked the sub-menu) and I don't have the USB port -- which is wierd because I think I have everything the mylink package offers EXCEPT the darn USB port -- and I am a big iPhone user -so it would have come in handy...
Couple negatives I have noticed in the last 3 days are that my interior carpet could be cleaner (I'm sure it takes a beating as a rental unit) ..and of course I've noticed a couple dings / scratches to the exterior (didn't notice at first!)..It sure is depressing when you see those. Makes me want to go down to the chevy body shop and see what it would cost to get them fixed ....after all, it IS a used car - I have to keep telling myself that.
Couple things I want to do to the car after reading these forums is to add the shiny tailpipe piece -- and to maybe add OEM foglights (the plastic place holders look stupid!).
Anyway, I'm glad to be here.

Welcome. I too have a victory red hhr. LS model here. Mine was also a rental with dirty carpets. Little bit of scrubbing cleaned that up.
Tons of info on this site to help with whatever you need. Enjoy your wagon.

Welcome and congratulations on your purchase! You and I are in the same newbie bracket: just purchased a 2010 1LT last Friday, it's former life was a rental and then a private owner, and is similarly equiped like yours. We have an appointment Monday with our mechanic to double-check it's condition, and like your car it needs a thorough cleaning so we have an appointmen in a couple weeks to have it detailed. The dealer we purchased from "detailed" it spelled with a lower-case "d"; we want DETAILED.
We do have the USB but have found through posts on this forum that only certain brands may work. Of course the ones we have won't. And the only thing we are missing that we were not of aware of was the lack of a compass.
Not a big deal.
Good luck with your new ride!

Welcome, I am also a newbie.
I have an 07 1LT w/2.4. I started out with an 06 LS that didn't have the driving lights either, could not get them thru local parts store but did locate some really good aftermarket ones thru EBAY motors ( very easy to install )
these guys have been very nice and helpful you will be impressed.
I totalled my 06 and the senior memebers took the time to run VIN numbers for me and help me with needed information to make my next purchase a good one.
welcome to the forum and glad to have you.
