It took me a little while to find mine and get the price I wanted. I purchased it from a Chevy dealer that is 150 miles from my home.

Yes, I did. Thanks for the info. Does it have a different stock# that I need to be aware of so that I don't get the old style kit?

welcome shaggy!!!

with enough work, the SS could be equally as fast as the GTO

My GTO had a Vararam CAI, American Racing long tube headers, SLP Loudmouth II catback, GMM ripshift short shifter, custom dyno tune, Lovells springs and struts,..etc. She was putting, if I recall correctly, around 370hp to the wheels.

My wife hated the time I spent with that car. LOL

I'm trying to resist doing all of that to the HHR, but I will probably fail.

Hello I'm also new with a 2008 HHR LT. Plan to keep it simple and clean.

Mine had a K&N intake, Kooks LT headers , custom exhaust w/Summit Racing Cats and Stainless Steel Turbo Mufflers (presently not on it because I had to smog test), GMM Ripshift, the street version and a tune. Good enough to get it solidly into the mid 12s on stock suspension w/slicks when everything was on it. It presently has the stock exhaust and a different tune.

Nice. The GTO was a blast to own. Nothing like working that 6 speed with that monster 6.0 growling. Total muscle car nirvana. LOL

My wife has a 2010 Camaro, but it is an auto and I just don't like automatics that much.

Anyway, other than missing the sexy noise that my GTO made, I am having a blast with the HHR SS. Can't wait to get the Turbo upgrade and I have been reading on here that people recommend getting new motor mounts so I may go that route also.
