An New HHR Convert Here
Hello.
I am the new owner of a used 2007 HHR in white. I just bought it last weekend from the local Subaru dealer.
It was kind of a group of weird events which has led to this purchase.
My wife has this 1999 Cadillac Eldorado ETC she bought a couple years ago. The dealer she got it from offered a lifetime powertrain warranty with the car. Good thing because a few weeks ago the flywheel started chewing the nose of the starter off. Seems the thrust bearing in that wonderful Northstar POS has failed. So as we wait while the mechanic tries to locate a similar low milage Northstar motor we rented a brand new base model HHR from Enterprise. After 3 weeks and over $650.00 of renting, I came across this nice 2007 with LT2 trim and was able to buy the car for a fair price. It has 54,000 miles on it and we really like it. I do believe it needs a right side wheel bearing and am going to investigate this this week. Since the car was put into service new on March 31, 2007, the drivetrain warranty should cover this bearing. Other than this, I really love the leather interior and heated seats. The cargo room is perfect for carrying my son's hockey goalie equipment around to the arenas. I deliver for a catering company part time and using the rental helped me to decide that this was the right car for all our basic needs.
