New HHR owner in NorCal
Hello!
I just picked up a HHR from John L Sullivan Chevrolet (Roseville, CA) at 23:50 on 07/31/09..... They were so busy with the cash for clunkers deals that it took 6 hours to get the deal done....
It's the first brand new car that I've bought since 1989. I traded in a 1988 BMW 325i with 190K plus miles that needed more in repairs than what I paid for the HHR.
The HHR is Summit White with the LT 2LT trim package, Cashmere leather interior. I think the only option it doesn't have is the roof racks. Being that I jumped 21 years in technology, it was pretty overwhelming the first week getting used to all of the gizmos and gadgets on it.
With the exception of the "Big & Rich" Chevy commercials, I had not even seen or heard of this model Chevy. Now I see one almost every day...
So far I'm really happy with the car. I'm at the point in my life where convienence and use, matter more than sports performance. I was really pleased to find such a professional owner site like ChevyHHR.net. I'm sure I will be visiting often!

PS: My mgfred username is from my other passion, I own a 1963 MG Midget 1100 (or MK 1 1/2 as some like to call it).

Hope to have some good pics added by this weekend.
My HHR is basic White...... Living in what should be a desert (if we didn't have rain all winter), no way can I own a dark colored auto. The HHR is very snazzy looking, I really like the retro "old" Chevy look. My first car was a 64 Chevy Biscayne with the two round tail lights in the back similar to what we have on each side of the HHR.
