New from Massachusetts

Hello to all! I'm Joe from Massachusetts, am 56 and work in banking, hence the handle. Just picked up a brand new 2009 LS last Tuesday night. I'm a function over form kind of guy, so I was looking for an all purpose cargo hauler that got good mileage and could seat 5 in a pinch. My HHR is Gold Mist, basic LS with it's only option being an automatic. It replaces a 6 year old Pontiac Vibe that I put 109,000 miles on and passed on to my mother. I was all set to get another Vibe, but when I looked at the restyled body, the rear gate opening is smaller, the rear is angled more severely, and the cargo capacity had decreased by about 6 cubic feet. Looked at the HHR as sort of a lark, and it just kept growing on me, leading to the purchase. Have been lurking here for the past several weeks, and thought I would formally introduce myself.

You have a great site and I've learned a ton just by browsing the posts.
