New owner in NE Ohio
Hi All! I've been lurking here the past few weeks since deciding to buy an HHR to replace the '03 Stratus I bought new for my wife. She's now driving a '10 Cobalt and I decided it was time to get a new daily driver for myself. I also have a Silverado 4x4 that gets used when things need hauled, the roads are bad through the Winter, or I don't mind getting 16 mpg.
I decided on an HHR due to parts cost, gas mileage, and I enjoyed driving my Mother in laws a few years ago on a trip.
I only wanted a 5 speed, and there weren't many to be found around here. I ended up finding a black '08 with only 40K miles at a Ford dealer about 20 minutes away. I told the salesman I was in a hurry and we were going to set a record for a car that day. My total time there including the test drive, going over the vehicle, doing the paperwork, and leaving was an hour and 20 minutes.
I was a little worried about visibility with it being the rear quarter panel model, but being smaller than the two trucks I've had with caps, it's really not bad at all.
I've only put 40 miles on it so far, but look forward to many years of dependable service from it.
