1969 revisited

Waxing a bit nostalgic, discovered a box full of photos from early to late 1960's including Ed Roth and several of his cars at a local car show, plus this one of me with my '68 Camaro in '69 at the Santa Maria (airport) drag strip, best of 12.9 at 108 mph. (originally a 275 hp 327 with Joehnck heads, isky cam, Holley 750cfm double-pumper, and Hedman Headers with Cherry Bomb glasspacks). Back then 12.90 was actually pretty fast for a regular street car. Actually had hair back then too.

Ed Roth (in center of photo) with the Mysterion '63 show at Earl Warren in Santa barbara(a replica of this was completed recently, but the bubble looks smaller on the replica for some reason).

And another well known Hot Rod at the same show......

thanks c2vette, we appreciate you sharing those great photos. It brings back some great memories from when I lived in Mt. Clemens Mich. back in the late 60's, My dad worked for Sun Electric Corp. and we used to have alot of folks come by the house with street rods/customs on trailers to go over gauges and tachs...Good memories...Thanks

The entire Hot Wheels Ed Roth collector's set came up for auction on eBay and I won it. Totally mint and factory sealed.
