Yanks are in trouble losing Wang for that long...their rotation was in tough shape before he went down...this just really worsens their chances

the Sox & Yanks are both banged up,losing Wang hurts but if we'll still close we will do something before the trade deadline, If not we have Ponson or Hughes coming to the rescue,at least we didn't go get David Wells yet, then you know we are desperate, see ya in Sept.

It only was a matter of time before the Rays got decent..too many good young players on that team for them to be that bad

And that was said tongue in cheek about Ponson right????? lol

The Cardinals/Sox game yesterday was a classic. Great game from start to finish, other than the outcome . At least we won the series 2 games to 1 . Cardinals are very banged up as well with Albert Pujols on the DL, as well as 3 of our starting pitchers in Chris Carpenter (ace), Mark Mulder and Adam Wainwright. Our starting catcher has been out all week after suffering a concussion last weekend in a collision at home plate. Relievers Jason Isringhausen (closer), Josh Kinney, Anthony Reyes, and Brad Thompson are all on the DL, or have just come back. We have also missed Juan Encarnacion the entire season due to an injury in spring training. So far 8 players have made their major league debut for the Cardinals, which I believe is a club record at this point in the season. Despite this, we have the second best record in the NL. Have to give some love to the job Tony LaRussa is doing keeping this team in contention. I just hope Pujols is back soon, and Carpenter comes back to his old form, where is was a Cy Young Award winner. We may yet celebrate another World Series victory this year in St Louis. Go Cardinals!!
