That's sad, unfortunately, I don't think that will be the last Chevy dealership to close it's doors.

That sucks, we've lost four that I know of here in the bay area. Los Gatos Chevrolet, Good Chevrolet in Alameda, Ellis Brooks in San Francisco and Central Chevrolet here in Fremont.

if it the bailout $ didn't help save all those jobs , gm should refund OUR $$$ back to US. i care more about all the working people than anything else. oh , and don't forget to spend some of that dusty $ you got layin around. the job you save may be your own.

My "home" for the past 31 years, Courtesy Chevrolet of Thousand Oaks will be shuttered tonight when I lock up the shop. After 40 years in the community this family owned store has made alot of friends and we have alot of loyal customers. It's sad that it has to end this way but the economic conditions being what they are in our area just didn't allow the store to continue with practically no new car sales.

Thanks to all at chevyhhr.net..........I will be around and will check in from time to time once I get my home PC up and running.

Good luck gang!

Dang.
I used to take the S10 to the Chevrolet dealer on Broadway in Oakland--that's where I first saw the HHR (2005). Is that one still around? I remember the Alameda one as the best breakfast in town was across the street.

My dealer's been around about 50 years, family-owned also (Selman in Orange). We've bought all our cars/trucks from them. No place is safe I guess.

The local GM dealership here in Gilroy, CA (Gilroy Pontiac Buick GMC) closed its doors after 60 years in business. Now the unemployment rate in Gilroy is at 11.6%. Oh joy.........................
