Less expensive to replace it maybe but how often do you have to do that? Compare that to worn out clutches, throw-out bearings, sloppy bushings in the shift linkage, etc with a manual. I dont hear any complaints about AT but see all kinds of threads related to the shifter, clutch, etc.

In general, at MT will outlive an auto. Replacing a clutch is nothing to replacing an auto as far as costs go. Even just a torque converter.

Clearly, you have never had to do either.

A clutch replacement is far less expensive. And, most clutch kits come with TOBs. If you know how to be easy on the TOB, then it will last a long long time. Bushings are cheap...Shift linkage?? You mean the cables? Keep them lubed and you are fine.

Your boost will lower, the easier she breathes and exhales. Do you have exhaust and header mods?

Lifting the lid seemed to give me about 6% trim increase and 9* temp increase. The air increase seems to outpace the temperature penalty unless it got stupid hot out. 28psi times 94% equals 26.32psi.

I'd say compare boost and MAF from before to after.
