Going into my 20th year of doin "the cruise".
First decade or so was with my 75 Monte.
Next several years drove my 95 S10.
Last few the HHR have taken over. But it seems with all the classics in the cruise, the HHR doesn't have a following, especially with the younger crowd.

Heard a lot of "why is THAT here?" and "THAT'S not a classic!".
This year, however, a red SSR pulled right into file behind me, so that was pretty cool, at least I thought so.

This is the second time I've run the HHR and had an SSR in the lineup.
BOTH times, they were driven by retiree's and neither couple were very sociable.

This may be my last year of this particular cruise........

We of SoCal HHRs get that all the time. Luckily for us we still have enough participation so it's not so much of a feeling of us against the rest of the world.

I've found the HHR is like an inside joke in a way, if you "get it" great, if you don't..well then so what. You'll find more people who assume its a PT than almost anything, and that seems to be the core of the dislike aimed at HHR's in general.

I know we have or had a couple of SSR owners here so I'm not trying to insult them, but I've found the folks with SSR's can be a little like typical Corvette owners...all superior attitude and bragging about how much it cost, no real passion for the idea behind the vehicle.
