Interesting that the Impala made the list twice. I know several people with them and they seem pretty bullet proof.

I loved my 2006 Trailblazer SS, it was great to me, but I didn't beat on it like most owners..
The only real issue I had was ignition switch.
It is strange seeing the Impalas on there twice, The 3.8L Impalas are pretty much a bullet proof drivetrain... But those 3.4L are a nightmare... Head Gaskets and Intake Manifold gaskets.

I agree, the big knock on the TBSS was the weak transmission.. I have seen and heard a few blow apart. I had a 2004 Buick Rainier 4.2L and it was a solid truck.. I am surprised he 2002-2004 Trailblazer where not on the list with their piston sleeve issues..

i should rephrase that.....the engine and tranny are about the only things we havent had a problem with at 90k

I think that was mostly the '02s. Mine is an '03 with the I6 and the engine seems pretty bullet proof. Its all the other stuff on the truck that's crap. I spend between $250 $1200 a year on non-maintenance repairs. If I could afford something else, I would have gotten rid of it already.
