Smile Been a little busy!

Have had quite a few pm's wondering what has been up with us. Haven't been active in awhile as I've been extremely busy with a 1900's home we bought four days after Christmas. It has kept us extremely busy and extremely broke over the last couple of months and probably for the next couple of years.

So far we have gutted/remodeled four of the eleven rooms and facelifted one of the others. A couple of weeks ago we finally started moving in some of our furniture and actually living in the space. After not having a home in about 6 years and living out of two rooms in my parents house it has been quite nice to stretch out in our 2300 sq. ft.

Agent O has a new home too, well actually two, yet he is still residing in the driveway. The first garage by the house is a one car garage with a lean to storage area. That space is currently occupied by some leftover drywall and supplies. The second garage that resides at the back of the property is our "Garagemahal". It is a 30x50 building with a built in bar area in the back. That space is currently serving as my landfill for all the debris from the house. Hopefully, we will have it cleaned out sometime this spring/summer.

Anyway, for those of you that were wondering, that's what I've been up to and as we slowly regain normalcy (is that possible?) hopefully we will be able to reconnect with the HHR crew. With warmer weather coming hopefully we will be seeing some of you at some G2Gs.

Well CONGRATULATIONS to you and yours!!

It's really nice to have a place of your own and call it your own. Hope everything is going well for you and the remodeling.

Great hearing from you and the update. Busy sounds like an understatement.
Keep us updated on the the new "digs". Isn't home ownership grand.

Well as stated we are still in the process of moving in/settling in so some things are still a work in progress. Havent hung most of our pics, curtains, etc. As for the color palette we went for calm and soothing colors.

Front of the house. We have not done much exterior wise yet other than the new front door and porch lights:

Back of the house:

Being an older home (1900) it has 9 foot ceilings and wide open doorways. This is the foyer looking upstairs:

This is the foyer looking out the front door:

The living room use to house an old red brick fireplace that we updated with glass tile and black granite:

Looking into the dining room. Still waiting on a couple of chairs:

In the dining room looking toward the 3 season room:

A good picture that shows the pattern of the carpet:

The kitchen has not been touched yet other than adding the appliances. We intend to get rid of the flooring, countertop and wallpaper border at some point. The kitchen is hard to photograph as it is a Z shape but we love the built in hutch in the corner:

Upstairs bathroom received a facelift of new flooring, tileboard, and ceramic tile. Because of my job taking care of a Chris' mother it has been set up with grab bars for safety:

Small garage to the back of the house:

Garagemahal:

Inside garagemahal with all the debris from remodeling. The back half of the garage will eventually be set up as a lounge area:

Looking to the front of the garage from the lounge area:

The bar area inside the garage:

The downstairs bathroom was already semi remodeled so we are living with it for now. The laundry room could use a little work but will suffice for the time being. The downstairs bedroom was gutted and done in the same color as the foyer. The 3 upstairs bedrooms have not been touched yet.
