After millions and millions of miles searching for the perfect burger 
I have a #1 and #2
#1 Deception Cafe... 4 miles north of Deception Pass on Fidalgo Is, WA on the east side of highway 20... only seats about 20 people... mom and pop... great menu... burger is a seasoned ground serloin on a kaiser(?) roll
oh yeah... we live less than six miles a way
#2 XXX Drive in Diner... Issaquah, WA. HWY 90. Big... Juicy... Sloppy and OVER PRICED... great burgers and icy rootbeer... cost extra without ice.
XXX in Issaqual is one of two XXX rootbeer dinners left in the United States... they have a contract with Coke a Cola corp to excluivly brew their rootbeer with the original XXX recipt(?)
They have scheduled car events all through the spring, summer and fall. The two shows we attend... the all chevy and the trifive (55 annaversy over 450 cars... no chance of a trophy there... the Car Guy would even talk to us) show.
NO I don t own either one of them. will maybe I do considering how much I have spent at both places.

#1: Kopps Frozen Custard in the Milwaukee area. In all my travels, I have yet to find anything that can beat thier jumbo burgers, in both taste and value.
#2: Culvers. Started out in a small WI town, and its still mostly a mid-west thing, but they are growing fast. They are in 16 states now, including a few locations in TX and AZ.
#3: I've got to give In-n-Out a nod. Every time we're in CA, we try and look for one.

Definitely Halo Burger.A chain local to the Flint,Michigan area.The closest one to me is in Birch Run,90 minutes away.For something closer to me I settle for a local restaurant called Legends here in Eastpointe.Juicy and tasty.Yummm!
