The Big 2? GM/Chrysler Merger?

I'm not so sure they would want that as they made the decision to quit making the Chevy Uplander and all other sister vans the end of 2008.
I grant you the new Dodge mini Van is an all new platform and in my opinion looks better than the Uplander, but last I heard they were "running scared" about all larger vehicles in the line up.
Seems like GM has been Punching when they should have been Ducking.
I have a close friend that just got a new Dodge mini Van and is already complaining about several of it's design features.
I think the majority of Van customers will just say "Phooey" and buy a Honda or Toyota. They are both proven models and some customers are wondering if the "Big (small) Three" will be around to handle warantee and give service in the future.
I for one have carefully looked at all of the 2009 offerings including the Dodge/Chrysler and would definately buy a Honda or Toyota Van even though I am a Loyal GM customer.
