Breakfast cerals. What did you eat growing up?

Saturday morning Cartoons were the real proving ground for cereals . The ads were there and I felt great if I was participating
If it had a comic character on it, I ate it!

Peanut Butter Crunch ruled my world. Heck, it still wont last a day at my house with me as the only taker

I had a lot of Freakies cereal and FrakenBerry, Count Chocula, and Boo Berry.
Never Liked Quake, loved Quisp ( It's still out there too ! ), Quangaroo and Vanilla Crunch never quite did it for me either.

Healthy cereal, never heard of it:laugh2:...

Anyone eat any healthy cereal? I did some, but refuse to admit it What did you eat for breakfast cereals.........

I was going to say--you must be my age and yep, I'll be 47 in 3 weeks!
I LOVE cereal and will eat it for dinner most nights...

Thankfully, I don't have a sweet tooth, but will admit to loving Capt. Crunch with crunch berries (love how the milk turns pink!).

@ngelita...currently enjoying a bowl of honey nut Cheerios (tm) for dinner!

Grits. And they weren't those sissy instant grits, either. No self-respecting southern gentleman uses instant grits. No, these were 20 minute grits that magically boiled in my Mother's kitchen, where the laws of physics do not apply, in only FIVE minutes!

Yup, a proud 47 last DEC.
Capt Crunch is cool, but man it can tear the roof of your mouth up , can't it?

I'm more into Eggs, home fries, sausage and toast anytime of day now days. But once in a while I can still enjoy the old pre sweetened -turn-your-milk-funny-colored-cereal.

IMHO, Breakfast is the BESTEST meal of the day...anytime.
I'm usually too tired after work to cook (and don't want to mess up the kitchen) so a yummy bowl of cereal is great for dinner!

And yes, those crunch berries can kill the mouth!

Dang, we're old--but we drive cool cars!

@ngelita..

Yep...Grits...I still eat them, and cook them the long way....LOL

No instant grits in my house...

You folks arn't old.....my favorite cereal was Jets....Anybody remember those. Pure sugar, and we would string them at Xmas, and dip the strings in food coloring for decorating the tree. Ya got to eat them after the tree came down, if mom wasn't looking.
