Sorry for the delay in responding... But yes CA Blue, I do love the Avenir!!! And thank you for bringing it to our attention :) I never miss the debuts of the North American International Auto Show, even if it is from a computer monitor. The Avenir was my favorite of this year's show by a landslide! It reminds me of a time when Buick made vehicles that were just oozing with style. This is, in my humble opinion, the best Buick design of the past 40+ years!

The convertible is a completely different car than the Avenir. It is a Cascada and is a rebadged Opal Cascada. It's a sibling of the Verano and is built on the Delta II platform. So you are still correct that it is not the same as a G6.

The Cascada is actually a little smaller than the G6. Overall length of the Casacada is 184.9 vs the G6 189.1, other dimensions are similarly reduced

I didn't look at the link. I ASSumed that the picture of the convertible was the Avenir which is what I thought the thread was about. Why was the Cascada introduced into it? The info I posted compared an Avenir to a G6.
