Looks like Buick will be $36000+ right now you can buy 2 SS's used with low mileage for that price. For less money $25000 you can buy a 2011 Mustang 6 cyl. $25,400 with a 0-60 time of 5.1. A second faster than SS or the new Buick. quarter mile 13.7, faster than most SS's. As per Motor Trend. Not knocking SS's (I own 2, 1 auto 1 5spd) point is lots of good sharp cars out there as good as ours. I think I like them all.

Yeah - $36K is a little out of my price range. Although I can't seem to go with a pure luxury car like the new LaCrosse, even though it is a nice looking ride. On the way home from Pittsburgh yesterday, I got off the Turnpike for a stretch to run the SS full out on some of the parallel local road through the mountains. It was a complete blast with the horizontal and vertical curves. I felt like I was racing at Watkins Glen or Sonoma.

Well I think you will find the price will be a little below $36,000. GM to this point has only priced the standard cars and they are well under $30K. Motor Trend often are idiots and get a lot wrong.

Also you can't compare this to an SS as they are apples and oranges. This car is going to have a world class interior, tunabable electronic suspension, and by production more than the 255 HP they so far have claimed.

Besides the 2010 SS stickers for near $29,000 without the interior and extraxs the Buick will have.

This car is what will play well with the Acura/Audi/Mazda buyers.

I know $30K is not cheap but that is only the average price cars on the market. It has gotten this high and will go even higher with the new goverment regs for emissions and MPG. Got to love big brother.

I would love a Regal GS wagon if available. It could very likely be my next purchase. I'll certainly look closely at any Regal wagon produced, GS or not.

A Wagon is in Europe and China. They have not made the call here yet. Wagons are a tuff market in the states but I think GM would like to give it a try. With the support of the other two markets it would make it easy to offer it here in low volume.

The people I know from GM are now working on this and or a 5 door hatch that mirrors the sedan.

Buick also may have a very sporty version of the 3 door Astra hatch here too. In Europe it will have a 225 HP Turbo 2.0. It would be much lighter than the SS and should be a blast to drive as the present Astra is a very good car.

I bought my HHR Panel cuz I like the looks of it.

Unless someone makes a stylish small van or panel, this will likely be my last new car.

Bought an HHR because I wanted a stick and a wagon. Bought the SS 'cause I wanted the fun of blasting around combined with the frugality of the mpg's.
Will they offer the Buick in a stick with a wagon?

I just priced the only SS around and it's 26,995. Damn, I'm glad I got my '08 for @ 21K. What have they done besides gone through bankruptcy to jack the price 6K?
