i have cable net and they say from 5 to 7 i get around 6.5.

You are lucky you can get all those HD OTA signals where you are at. We only get 2 here in the Ottawa area...CBC English and CBC French.

I have heard that some folks around here can pick up US signals from upper New York state, but they need a high mast antenna to do it.

Mine (cable) is advertised at 7.0 and I average 6.8.
