Is this the HHR replacement and why is it only a fleet vehicle? It looks like a decent HHR replacement car, right size, but seems to be available as a used car at Car Max some times.

Its was never really a popular (I feel) because it was overshadowed by equinox and HHR..It looks just like a saturn view...I dont think they were ever built in the US and this article says it was devoloped in korea

I think it came from the vue when the quit making Saturns. I almost bought one for the wife the LTZ was nice, very similar to the Caddy SRX, but she wanted a home on wheels instead. Happy wife, happy life.

We looked at one in Florida last spring, the guy driving it said it was a rental car, his wife loved it, but he was told at his dealership they are fleet only. guess she'll have to wait for fleet sale.

I have seen them on a local Chevy lot. We were told that they are the old Saturn Vue. The ones we saw were used they had just come off rental. A lot of the controls are very similar to our HHrs. They do sit higher. Not bad looking though.

I read someplace maybe here?
Selling a model that is only for rental doesn't hurt values when they all come for sale as used.

Make sense or not - I don't know.

Strange that the fleet sales guy wouldn't make a sale. One of the most common pieces of advice in car buying is to go to the fleet sales manager.

Don't I remember the Saturn Vue was a POS. The car that doomed Saturn? Maybe I'm thinking of another model.

My cousin has an 02 Saturn Vue with about 160,000 miles on it. It was a five speed as at that time Saturn was experimenting with a CVV automatic that didn't work, so he got a real deal on his Vue. He is still running the original clutch. The Captiva looks smaller than his Vue.

The Saturn Ion , I think, was the car that killed Saturn. Saturn let GM come in and tell them how to build car, so GM frugged up the car design etc.

I bought one of the Saturn Vue Bombs, It was the AWD model that had a 4 cyl. With the imfamous CVT transmission. Mine was an '03 in a lovely lemon yellow.

Luckily I bought it used low miles from a Chev Dealer that was willing to let me trade it for a Malibu. The Malibu is a great car or else I would not be driving any GM.

Look for Vue's with CVT's on Craiglist, I found 5 just the other day in the Twin Cities, All needed transmissions - THAT is was what killed Saturn. IMO
