[QUOTE=Black Rose;128211]We prefer cats. I have had cats around me for most of my life.
Same with me! Ever since I was about 6 or 7 I would say. And that was a long time ago! Right now we have 8. (And they all are kept inside!) I like dogs too, but to me cats are a lot less trouble to keep, and much quieter.

Dogs all the way! I trained my dogs to chase cats and I hate that fact that my neighbors think theirs should run loose.
To all of you with border collies, my condolences. My father has one that's 12 years old and still hasn't slowed down. She's just plain crazy!

I agree, but they are even better with teryaki sauce.

Actually, I have 2 of the biggest, laziest black Labs on earth. Over 90 pounds each, the only time they strain is when they fart.

Always have had a dog, only a hound was outdoors except during the winter and old age when he need better care.
What ticks me off is why my dogs need a license even though they never run wild and the damn cats can run free to kill the birds I use to feed in the winter. Had to stop putting out bird seed to protect the birds.

Covertly placed cages work real well for that. The occupied gages can then be delivered to your friendly Human Society or Pound.
Here in AZ, IF the owner claims them it costs some $$$. Which is a terrible shame.
