I used to HATE cats. Give me a watch dog any day. Then I got this kitty; he's really good at keeping unwanted people from my home.

We have a cat (well, it's really my daughters). But if I were to choose, I would have a dog instead of cat.

I grew up on a farm and have had cats, dogs, pigs, chickens, etc...currently have 2 (brother & sister) chihuahua/poms: Maximo & Paquita, 2 indoor cats: Malinche (DSH, 14) and Xochitl (odd-eyed Persian who is 10) and feed 4 strays outside--I can't let an animal starve (I've had them all fixed). These are my children

I've had a couple of cats in my life. Since getting out of the military, getting married, we found a stray kitten around 1976, She stuck around longer than the wife. Around 1986, I inherited another cat and had her for 17 years. The hardest thing I ever had to do was to put her down. She must have been nealy 20 years old by that time and in poor health at that time.

No more pets in my life.
