Chevy Tornado

I was crusing down I-5 on the way to work and came upon one of these. I google'd it when I got to work and found out they come from Mexico. It is at the very least a cousin to the HHR. I don't think they are available in the US at least not at this time. Not my cup of tea but I thought it was interesting.

Post's made in this forum stay in this forum PLEASE!

This is one of many vehicles available only in the Mexican market. Chevy, VW, Ford, and especially Dodge have been offering vehicles specifically to Mexican consumers for years - heck, ever since I was a kid over 30 years ago! Every time I travel to Mexico, I trip out on some of the vehicles I see over there. The latest is a full-size Durango-type vehicle Dodge is putting out that is based on the full-size Ram body style. If they offered that in the U.S., I think it would do well!

I just looked it as well, looks like it might just stay in Mexico.
Cute wonder what the rest of the data is like. My Spanish is
very poor. The site is in spanish.

There's a Wikipedia listing for this vehicle. It's based on the Opel Corsa, and comes equipped with two teeny-tiny flex-fuel I-4's, one of which is an Isuzu engine. Outside of Mexico, it's called the Chevrolet Montana.

Went to the site and read a bit about it -
Based on current peso-to-U.S. dollar exchange rates, the Tornado is selling in Mexico from $9,900 - $12,700 - as usual, depends on trim level, options, etc.

My personal favorite is the Ford F150 Lobo package, available only in Mexico: the 4.6L modern V8 engine ... with a 4-barrel carburetor!

Here's the page Karen was probably talking about. Doesn't look bad if you're needing a cool looking truck.

They are made in Brazil, and have been in production since 2004.
