Our local sheriff's dept. bought one a couple years ago. Complete POS. It's a fast car, but you can't see anything out the small windows, the interior is falling apart, and you can hear the lifters rattling as the thing drives down the road. They're buying nothing but FWD Impalas and a new Tahoe for the supervisor now. The Imps are faster than the old Crown Vics and get better mileage. The Tahoe 9C1 is the vehicle of choice for pursuit and off-road needs.

Tahoe is 4wd? In the past they were 2wd which, except for the K-9, I thought was a total waste of money. Likewise, the old Camaro and Mustangs.

It is 2WD. Off-road around here means anything barely off road that the Conservation Agents won't otherwise handle, and those guys rock 4WD 3/4 ton Fords and Chevys.

I was kind of surprised, but last night that Tahoe came screaming code 3 through an intersection going between 45-50 MPH and made a full left hand turn without stumbling or squealing tires. Those 9C1s are set up well.

I live next to a small city inside a city. They are a bunch of snobby folks.. the cops are stricker than u know what. one guy pulled me over cause i had a chevy emblem as my front plate, another pulled me over for having tinted cover on my rear license plate... blaah. BUT in this little city, half the cop cars are personally owned by the policemen, and they are pretty sweet. There is a 05 GTO thats pushin 550hp, Trans Am WS6 doing about the same, Murdered out 07 tahoe.. they got some nice stuff for cruisers and are hard to see when driving cus they aint painted white to stand out either..

Behavior like this could be contagious.

And I think this is a turkey too. Just in time for the coming festivities.

Carbon Motors has been working on that Prototype for at least 3 years now.
I first saw info in Grand Rapids at Police Fleet Manager conference, this is
first I've seen since then. Looks like they finally got enough capital to
actually build a working Product. I agree that it will be a hard sell to
Departments. They need to build about 30 units and give 10 ea to New York,
Chicago, and Los Angles for one year shakedown testing! If they can hold up
in those Department they may be able to sell.
