Corvette ZR1 hits 205!!! Video

Alas, it still didn't even come close to the performance of the current BASE Corvette.
So my point is, as others have stated in other threads, GM is finally doing something about the SS, Performance, Special Edition (except for the HHR) image. More about do than talk.....all show no go, etc. etc.
Oh, I meant to say.....this video of the 206 MPH run was shown at a recent "bash" at the Bowling Green Corvette factory. I had a friend who attended and took his own video, of the video, with narration/commentary by a Corvette spokesperson. That really ADDS some depth to the video. If I can get a copy, I'll post it here.

So sick.
But I betcha that azzhat on Top Gear is still going to whine about it using "leaf springs" and plastic body panels...even though the 'vette hasn't used traditional steel multi-leaf springs since 1982.

As I indicated in an earlier post to this thread.......here is another video of that ZR1 run. But this is a video of the video that was shown at the recent Bowling Green Corvette Bash. Listen to the commentary by the GM person and the discussion about the Mecedes.
Oh, and the driver is a German Engineer that is certified to drive at those speeds on that track. The ZR1 actual obtain a top speed of 208 MPH (probably a tail wind) on a return run. GM is claiming the 205 speed as "official" and the average of the witnessed runs that day.
