3 cent US fractional note/bill - 3rd issue

Fractional notes are very hard to find due to the fact that most have been discarded or even over worn to lose most of it's potential value. Fractional notes came in different values ranging from 3 cent value up to 50 cent value. Fractional currency came out in 5 different series starting in 1862 and the fifth series ending in 1876. Most may not be aware that these were used before they ever thought of making pennies, nickels, dimes, quarters, etc.
