Yeah, that's the reason they don't have volunteers in there cleaning anymore was because of the asbestos. Doesn't bother me. I already have asthma, so what's a little asbestos on top of that?

I knew the floor tiles had it in them, because we found a box that looked very similar in our attic that said they were made of that... Of course we tossed those!

We have an even more spectacular station here in Buffalo called Central Terminal that we're trying to save. Art Deco, 13 stories high and structurally sound, though 20 years of looting and tearing the place apart hasn't helped.

Check it out!

You might get some ideas on how to save the detroit station.

i swear i just saw something about this on the news last time i was up in Mich. Might have to hit you up for "directions" sometime when I am up there. Could be sweet for some light drawings, although it might be bit creepy at night.

Who's the girl with the tight leggings?

just finished looking through them all. Sometimes I am in to graffiti, but I would have loved if this place stood untouched.

Wow, that Central Terminal looks cool!!!

Yeah, I can give you directions if you want for next time you're up, but I wouldn't go in at night...but that's just me.

The girl is my friend Brittany. We both take photo classes together at Mott.

Nice work. There's a few in there that would make great prints. Thanks for sharing.

Oh ,and there was a homeless man found frozen in the ice in the basement last winter.

Cool pics, there's lots of photo ops like that in Detroit.

Yeah, I remember hearing about a person dead.... It's all water in all of the basements in those places, and it's so dark there are probably more in many other buildings in the area!
