I was scrolling through ebay looking at items for sale on HHRs and I came across this guy selling driving lights.

I guess he liked the picture of my car so much that he decided to use the image to sell his driving lights without asking for permission first. Hopefully after sending an email asking him to politely take the image down he will do it.

Which picture did he use?
I went to your gallery, the two grills are different, the license plate is similar though.

Even still, I think that once you post something on the www, it pretty much becomes fair game.
I`ve been wrong before (or something like that).

here you go...

scroll to the middle of the page, car to your right.

I dont buy the reasoning that any pic posted in the internet is fair play. If that was the case I can then use images from macdonalds and pepsi to sell items on the net without getting in trouble...

essentially he's using a picture of my car without permission and using it in a way that promotes false advertising. The driving lights he's selling is not the same as the one installed on my car. People will think that the lights he sells are as bright as the ones I have on the picture. Now if thats not false advertising I dont know what is...

Those are registered trademarks, I think there`s a difference.
Besides, you have a emblem in your pic, hmmm, what if Chevy....nahhh.

so in your way of thinking I can then download this guy's picture from his ebay post and add crude remarks to it...and not get in trouble for it?

Ebay seller appropriated my image for his auction

In a recently completed auction a seller appropriated the image from my Ebay store to sell his copy of a signed Arnold Palmer, leather bound Easton Press edition. the auction number is below...

Item number: 7037568221

My store item Item number: 7028087987

Is this type of behavior commonplace? I find it rather low behavior. Is it in keeping with Ebay policies? My first inclination is to file a complaint? Is there a means to do so?

Any input appreciated

Brian

No one is allowed to use your images or text without your permission. You can report it. Here's how:

I guess I have the right to be ticked off now dont I?
