Drove the New Equinox

and I have to say I'm very impressed! The 2.4L engine had plenty of power, the design of the console was so much better than the HHR, and there was more than enough leg room. Even the LS has all the options I want. I'm just waiting to get details of the Cash to Clunkers discount program then I'll trade in my '98 Windstar. I can get more for it than the equity in my HHR.

I'm realy afraid the Equinox will pull many away from the HHR. We'll see!

I have to say, I really do like the new Equinox. I think they got it right this time, and I really think the good fuel mileage will really help them. If you're looking for an SUV type car, this will be great since it'll get the mileage as a regular sedan.

my inlaws have the older one and sitting in it just feel bare. Not nice seats, not the most comfortable, not great mileage, pulling 22 on the hwy (on a good day) with my "super conservative on the pedal" father in law... Just doesn't feel like it has any luxury to it at all. New one may be different but the old one does nothing for me. Not even talking about the outside of it.

I saw a black one on the road yesterday. I thought it looked hot, more upscale than the previous one for sure. From a distance I thought it was a Traverse.

I like the new look of the Equinox and think it is tremendously better looking than the previous model.
