An early "Thank you."

I just want to thank all who have served in the United States armed forces.

I haven't the slightest idea where I filed my DD214 and I no longer have my "Inactive Reserves" ID card.....whoa...it's been nearly 20 years since I got out? Sheesh. Where did the time go?

My original DD214 is in my safe along with my birth certificates (the whole familys), and passports. But my retirement ID card is always in my wallet.

You can contact the VA and get a copy of your DD214, it's a good document to have when you need it. It gets you a lot in some states. In GA, it's a free drivers license.
