Lightbulb Engine Block Heaters

So I'm thinking about looking into getting an engine block heater for my Lumina. It sits outside, and it's a really old car, I just think it might be a good investment. It starts so hard on these cold days, and I just think that might be a good idea.

Now comes the reason I posted this. Does anyone have any opinions or any input on good (or bad) ones? Anything special I should or shouldn't look for? I haven't really started looking, but I was just talking to my dad tonight about maybe buying one.

Thanks for your input guys!

Smile cheap fix

I used a 100 watt bulb in a clamp on fixture from Hardware store one time to keep the oil hot in my Peterbilt. It worked great even at 15 degrees a little heat (100 watts) works very well. It is something you can do for about $5.00,
and if it works....great. Makes cold cranking engine turn faster with worm oil.

Only drawback is a little bit of light on the ground.

Give it a try.
