I've never seen that.
I don't know what kind of butane comes in an aerosol like that. Might have been starter fluid. (ether).

im going to guess either(starter fluid) but still really cool. ill have to try next time i get a flat.

I learned this trick in the Boonies of Alberta (go figure). Still have yet to need to do it myself tho.

Also used starting fluid to seat race tires on rims when they wouldn't seat normally. Just a small squirt...you don't want to blow the bead off the rim!! In that vid if you watch the ending close you'll see the tire going back flat!!
