Fl. was great , except.

Worked all week helping my dad get in to his new place , Had friday off spent the day at Clearwater beach, Got the Camaro home safe and sound The SS , Not so much :

On wed. morning my 20 year old daughter got in her 1st and hopefully last car accident.

WITH MY SS !!!!!!!

, Rear ended a guy in dunedin . His nissian murano has about $ 800 worth of damage , My SS needs a new hood , front bumper , and probally some inner stuff as well, drives same as before crash , Can't tell untill you look at it. Bummper is pushed up a bit , it will be my 1st insurance claim in 23 years with allstate. It sucks ,

I did'nt yell at her , she is heart broken as she knows what it means too me , I told her all that matters is shes ok , And no one got hurt , It's just a car.
And it is . It will get fixxed , She will pay my deductable and it is what it is ,
But hey the camaro kicks azz , And the SS will again soon
I'll put some pics up mon or tues.
Hope alls well with the HHR family

Damn, sorry to hear the New SS has already been in a wreck.

I'd never let the kids drive my Panel. Just for that reason alone.

Good you didn't yell, but that had to Hurt.

Bat glad to hear everyone is ok
sometimes with these little accidents some positive can come out of it like she may be even more careful for the rest of her driving career and never get in an accident again.
Well great to hear all will be well in a couple short weeks.
You cant keep an SS down.

Ouch, Glad to hear she's ok. I had a similar incident about 3 years ago, with my son (20yrs old) at the time. Got him a super clean fire engine red sunbird for graduation and he got slammed from behind. The important thing is your child will be ok, and lessons learned. We can replace cars, but not our children. You'll be back up and running before ya know it......Hope your days ahead are easy and not stressful for ya.!

Thanks guys !

Sometimes you need a shot in the arm to get back to reality.
It's a small speed bump on a long , long road .
She's the best , And she knows she is one in a million that could live threw such an event .

If there where any signs of a diff. in driving , i would be bumming , But it is a hood , bumper , Ect.

But on a positive note , I have these pictures which have made the minor accident alot easier to forget. 35,260 miles 1992 Camaro RS Heritage Edition Convertible. Kinda rare.

Wow jeff , It's crazy you should say that .

My SS was damaged by my daughter , I go to get estimate at allstate , Guys a gear head , Tell him about my SS , We agree that it needs a new hood and bummper skin . Ok's original GM parts . I go to biggers chevy and ask if i can have the wrecked hood , He says you can have the hood the bumper , What ever.

Soon The most killer hood scoop on an HHR will be unvailed , UM , if i can find a guy that can do it for dimes on the dollar . LOL
