Fantastic!! In 2000 I went to the F1 race at Indianapolis. What a great time!! And an incredible venue for racing, of course. SO much wonderful automotive history!

I was happy to see F1 back at Montreal this year. I attended that race in 2001. With races in both countries, it bodes well for F1 in N. America.

Thanks for the good news!!

The amazing thing that I noticed attending F1 races was how many foreigners were there! It's incredible how many people came from Europe, accross the States and Canada to see the races. I met some nice people from California who I am still in touch with today at Indy and we met at the Montreal race the next year!

Start planning your alternate routes for when they are in town.

When Detroit had GP racing, you couldn't get anywhere downtown.

But it IS a big boost for local businesses!

The Detroit GP was raced on a street circuit downtown. Of course there would be closures. The Austin GP would race at a purpose-built track that is located out of town. Why would there be street closures downtown?

Very cool, especially since our son moved his business from CA to Austin 3 years ago so we have a place to stay. Yay!

Good news for US F1 fans indeed!

I just hope it's planned when it's not so hot outside
