our lowest was weeks ago at 1.81, as soon as it dropped to 1.79 it shot back up to 2.27 the next day for no reason. well for no reason other than we have shown that we can sustain an inflated price so the are in no way goin to go back to pre-911/katrina levels. opec has even said that sine the demand is dropping of they are prepared to cut production by 3 million barrels to help "keep the price stable"
**currently at 2.12

Bottom line: gas prices are influenced by WAAAY more people than (the now-dead) Sodamn Insane..........
Yeah, just joking. With all the exhilaration of Saddams death , you would`ve expected some long range price changes. Not.
Just another meaningless execution, business as usual.
That`s why I couldn`t understand all the jumping and shouting.

All that was true when this thread was started, no one drafted you.
What`s YOUR problem.
Sounds like you`re getting a little hot under the collar, I`m not, just adults having a discussion.

NO, i wasnt drafted, I willingly and eagerly went to every conflict that my commander-in-chief sent me to. I would do the same now if possible, and am VERY proud of the men and women that do it now... They also volunteered, and were not drafted, they are doing what they joined to do... Protect our liberties, and as has been the policy of the US for many decades now, Protect the liberties of ppls across the world. Granted to us here at home the ppl of Iraq don't seem to appreciate our efforts, least that is what the media wants you to believe, but i have spoken to troops returning, and have seen first hand to other places i've been.... They do appreciate our presence.

and PS. This thread was about gas prices, not the war in Iraq. Anyone can tell you that the war was not based on oil, nor does it now influence the price of oil now to any large degree.

I meant, not drafted into the thread, as in join in or not.
I know you were in the military, I was too. I followed orders just as you did.
But we don`t have a King. Our Country is allowing a few chicken hawks to lead us down a dark tunnel, for what ever reason.
Btw, we are having liberties taken away, right here. You don`t have to go looking for somewhere to start protecting liberty.
Yes this thread did start out about gas prices, speaking of liberty, the gas in my neighborhood is consistantly higher then the surrounding areas.
I pay more, because the powers to be, won`t stand up and say that it`s unfair. (gouging)
I don`t have to look to the Middle East to see oppressed people.

^^^ That is exactly my point and the reason I started this thread. Gas in my area is 15-20 cents higher in my area than any other place around here. They know everyone pays and will continue to do price their gas accordingly.

All that snow on the east coast is what is a big factor this year. More demand. But we still pay less that other countries.
