As long as those boneheads in DC are back in session, you can bet that prices will be heading up, up, up. If you listen to them, they keep saying that they are going to make the oil companies pay, for what happened to the price of gas and heating oil, with increased taxes and renegotiated oil leases. Well, I don't know how stupid they think we are, but there isn't a corporation in the world that pays taxes. Oil companies simply pass along the cost of their taxes, and increased costs of oil leases, to the consumer. And, if the schmucks in DC don't understand that, then they just flat shouldn't be there. Ask your state or federal representative, how much money they take out of each gallon of gas, and if they know, then ask them just what they do to deserve that money. They don't drill, refine, deliver or assume any risk for their share of the pie. Most states don't even use the gas taxes for what they were originally intended, roads. Instead it just goes into the general fund.
We used to have very reasonably priced gas in Georgia, until the feds came in and said we had to use a "blend" fuel. Not an existing "blend", oh no, a new "special blend" just for us. We now have the "honor" of having our very own, HIGH PRICED, blend.
I'm sorry to rant, but these government clowns, just get me PO'd.

Regards,
Pat

The local BP, which is always higher than everyone else, had $2.49 yesterday for regular unleaded. They're gearing up for Spring Break and the opportunity to profit from the tourists.
