Gas Prices Choking Californians

There are numerious global reasons for the price increase, but frankly I think it will have to go north of $5.00 per gallon before any significant traffic reduction occures. We are over $4.00 per gallon now, and the freeways are just as jammed as they always have been.

Do the majority of the drivers still drive 15-25 MPH OVER the posted??
I noticed, when our Governor repelled the use of speed cameras on the freeways, the traffic speed increased accordingly. Now that gas prices are rising, I noticed a little slowdown....maybe 70-75 in posted 65.

In this economy just being late for work can get you fired. Part of whatever passes for American Culture is being in a hurry!
Gas prices are the immediate result of a hundred different forces but I'm afraid inflation is just over the horizon. Everything you buy from food to clothing is going to jump in price in a big way.
