I paid $3.05 for 87 in Gainesville FL last weekend. I filled up again here in the Florida panhandle the next day at $2.73. Since then, it's dropped to $2.65. Spend Labor Day weekend in the Florida Panhandle. At least the gas will be cheap!

Fill up when I was leaving STL area on Monday-
87 Octane
2.65 - Shell/CFM
St. Louis - S/SW
MO side of Jefferson Barricks Bridge off I-255.
After I filled up @ 2.65 a gallon, I drove around the block a few times. Not quite used to gas below 3.19 at minimum.

This is a perfect example, no rhyme or reason for the prices we pay. The whole oil thing is a scam. The gov. is raping us and we love it...
Most of what we pay for gas is in the form of taxes.
There should be a surplus soon , since the consumption will be down, now that PLUTO is out of the equation...

my last fill up was on 8/22 and I paid $2.84, last time I paid less was 4/15 at $2.69
I keep tabs on oil price news and over the past week or so the news is that the stock is higher then "they" thought it would be at this time of the year...less driving could be a possible reason for the higher stock supply.....or maybe people are getting cars that get better MPG (like us HHR owners)
