Gas Station Preferences

hess, only company that uses only ameican oil and 7-11 its closests to my house, no point in waisting gas to go to a specific station.. Also considering that now a days the difference between gas is about a gallon of detergent per 18 wheeler tanker, doesn't matter to me. I think that works out to adding a teaspoon of extra stuff to the gas if you have a full tank...

Do gas stations in your area still charge more for credit over cash? Most here in NJ have gone back to same price for both, but there are still some that are ripping people off charging 10 cents more per gallon for credit.

Sunoco 93 or Shell 93 only. I will not buy fuel from Citgo (7-11, unless that's changed) due its ties with Venezuela and Hugo Chavez.

They don't do that here, mostly because we pump our own gas and pay at the pump saves on employees, unlike you. When I was up there over Thanksgiving, I noticed most of the stations were still doing this along 206 and 30 heading to AC.

I've got a BP credit card and use that when on the road. There is a Chevron just down the street and they had been the high price vendor in the past, but they charge is about the same as the others in the area. What I have discovered is that I get better gas mileage with the Chevron 87 octane (no 10% ethanol sticker on the pump). But I have used Hess or Sam's Club gas when it was much cheaper, now all the stations seem to have zeroed in on $1.56-%1.59/ gallon.

Indian Reservation is the cheapest, GM tech tells me shell because it`s the cleanest, Sunoco cause they have 94 ( the only gas I put in my 07 Shelby GT500 ), and Petro Canada cause they gave me a 20 cents a litre off card when I bought the HHR SS and a 40 cents off a litre when I bought the Z71 Seirra.

Wow, never heard of that. My 8 cents a gallon savings over pump price is only if I use their credit card - their betting that I wouldn't pay it down and counting on the interest.
