Time for GM to take their medicine like everyone else in this country. The well is dry!
Our Senators have lots of pet projects that our tax dollars would be better spent on like, endangered tadpoles, highways to nowhere, $1000 toilets etc.....

Is anyone really happy with where tax income is spent by our F'd up government. When does the well run dry on self serving congressmen and senators spending it like it grows on trees. Oh that's right we'll just print some more.

Do not hope for a bailout. Unions have messed GM and Ford up for years and they are paying for it. They need to change their ways and toss the Unions or they will go under. This is why Japanese companies are doing great along with Wal Mart, Target and Home Depot. No Unions

Instead you would rather buy from a foreign country that tried their darndest to bury our country. So now GM and the rest of the Big 3 are stuck in the middle of something they had no part of. They sell 11+ million vehicles a year more than anyone else so they can't be building cars people don't want.

Wrong Wrong Wrong. They did it to themselves. Unions have killed them and they are paying the price. You have to much hatred for republicans to understand the truth. Typical Liberal thinking.

Union's are the biggest crock of crap now days. I will always remember what my Grandpa told me when i was younger, He was union for a time mind you. He told me once "Union's are the rise and will be the fall of America. Not i totally understand.

Which gets paid back with interest . . . so again, this affects you how?

Quit being so selfish and see how the BIG picture will affect EVERYONE, not just you.

If you think a 25 billion dollar loan is costing YOU a lot of money, think of how mus MORE it will affect you if they don't give them a loan.

AGAIN IT IS A LOAN with intrest!

How is it FAIR to the US automaker that foreign cars get imported into our country for FREE, zip, zero, nadda in tarrifs?

Can you even fathom the amount of money our Government COULD make if they imposed a tarrif? Even if it was just $1,000 per car?

How is it fair to the US automaker that to export a car to Japan, there are HUGE tarrifs? (IIRC it nearly 100% of the price of the car)

How is OUR Govermment being fair to the US automaker when foreign car makers can build plants on our soil, where the land is given to the foreign car maker? But US Automakers don't get that luxury . . . Could you imagine the improvements in manufacturing if the US Automaker COULD build new plants with no expence for land?

How is our Government being fair when the foreign car maker is given tax breaks and credits for builting a plant in the US? But US Automakers don't get that luxury . . .

How about the foreign car makers get low or no interest loans to build plants on our soil? Do US makers get that option? NO

How is it fair of our unions to mandate UAW workers in ALL US automaker assembly plants, but not the foreign car manufacture plants on our soil?

Sorry, The Government, the Unions and Americans need to open their eyes on how badly WE screw our own companies over . . .

Can you even fathom the BILLIONS of savings that are being given to the foreign companies, which in turn saves them money, but not given to the US Companies?

And don't even go to the BS line that foreign stuff is better . . .

The folks on here that are against unions are the same ones who post that they lost their job because their boss didn`t like them, slept with someone else, has a relative, etc, etc. Then it`s all Waaah it unfair. One day you have benefits, the next they take it away. Waaah it`s unfair. Your boss screws up but makes you the fall guy and now your loading your belongings into the back of the HHR that you now can`t afford. Waaah it`s unfair. I`ve been working my butt off for my boss and he`s successful but I don`t get a raise. Waaah it`s unfair.

Yes I work for a union business. If i f up,I`ll be fired for it. But it will be for MY actions and not a-hole making me his guinea pig.

Because GM isn't strong enough to ever payback the loan with their present structure. Call me selfish if you want but I have every right to speak my mind when it comes to MY money.

GM never bailed me out nor has anyone else. Damn liberals and their socialist polices are only in it for them selfs. Well so am I, keep you're grimmey hands off my money. Let GM do what every other poorly ran company has had to do in the past, file for protection and work with the courts to solve the underlying issues or go belly up.

So how is the fact that they waste money on other stupid things any justification for wasting $25,000,000,000.00 on a company that most likely will declare bankruptcy away? What are they putting up to guarantee the loan? Why won't the banks give them any more money?

BECAUSE THE AUTOMAKERS ARE A VERY BAD RISK WITH LITTLE CHANCE TO SURVIVE IN THEIR CURRENT FORM!
